Endometriosis is a chronic uncurable condition that claims the health of far too many millions of women annually. It can be an extremely painful condition. The tissue lining the uterus grows outside of the uterus creating lesions. When a woman is diagnosed with endometriosis, the doctor will consider her age, symptoms and desire for pregnancy before determining a proper course of therapy individualized to her needs.
